Disc won't run

    Can't download update, tried everything

    I tried burning to disc, xbox says mixed media disc and won't run it.

    Help Needed

    You can however install the game to your HDD, meaning it won't run off the disc at all, if the disc is at fault, that will solve your problem.

    Disc won't run

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    If that doesn't work then you should contact support directly to see about scheduling a repair. Contact Us | Xbox Support

    I have both a Series S and a Series X, in the same house. If I buy a disc version of a game and put it in Series X can play it somehow on the Series S?

    No. You would still need the digital version. With a disc, the system uses the disc to verify you own the game. Since the Series S doesn't have a disc drive, the system can't verify ownership of a disc so the game won't run.

    Has your HD Texture Pack installed correctly.

    Probably right, the disc stops a little while after the disc loads because the game is then running from the HDD, if you don't have the game installed to the HDD the disc won't stop spinning, either way will work. It's the disc stopping that causes the problem.
