    Disc won't read


    When I put games into my 360 it makes a whirring/grinding sound and won't recognise the disc. I used to be able to fix this by ejecting the disc and trying again but this no longer works. Does anyone have a solution?

    csgo digital download works but I don't have and can't afford a disc.

    My Xbox 360 game won't read. Nothing shows up and nothing happens when I plug it in and I can't afford to buy a new one. It is used. Anyone know how to fix it?

    Hello Charlie,

    This normally happens when a disc has scratch's on the back of the disc, and wont let the Xbox recognize the disc. If this is happening to every disc (different discs) then there might be a problem inside the xbox. -Josh

    If it happens with all discs, must be a problem with your console disc drive. If is in warranty, request a repair for it, in myservice.xbox or contacting support xbox

    Hey there,

    Do other Xbox 360 back compat games work specifically? If other backward compatible Xbox 360 discs work, that Black Ops II disc may need to be replaced.

    Definitely sounds like the disc drive is on it's way out.Had the same thing myself in the past.

    If it's in warranty then you can send it of for a repair at no cost.If it's not in warranty then you'd be better off buying a new xbox as it's not that much more expensive than paying Microsoft to repair it.

    You can get the digital versions of your games but you would have to pay for them.You wont get them for free just because you own the disc version.

    Sorry to hear it. What game are you trying to play? Does this happen with other discs? Is the disc scratched?
