Disc won't read

    Disc won't read


    My Xbox 360 game won't read. Nothing shows up and nothing happens when I plug it in and I can't afford to buy a new one. It is used. Anyone know how to fix it?

    Xbox won't read disc

    Got Mass Effect Andromeda. Tried updating my Xbox One, says it's up to date, put disc in while online and offline, it won't read. Did a hard reset a couple times. Still won't read the disc.

    Sorry to hear it. What game are you trying to play? Does this happen with other discs? Is the disc scratched?

    Its call of duty, black ops 2. And the disc looks new, no scratches. I've bought an Xbox one disk before and it's loaded the download stays on 0%. I had to buy a new disk and spend more money which I don't really want to be doing.

    Hey there,

    Do other Xbox 360 back compat games work specifically? If other backward compatible Xbox 360 discs work, that Black Ops II disc may need to be replaced.

    Hey there,

    Trying a different Xbox 360 disc will be the best route to help us narrow down what side the issue may be on. If you're unable to try another Xbox 360 disc, the best route we can suggest is seeing if the issues persist with a different Black Ops II disc.

    Definitely sounds like the disc drive is on it's way out.Had the same thing myself in the past.

    If it's in warranty then you can send it of for a repair at no cost.If it's not in warranty then you'd be better off buying a new xbox as it's not that much more expensive than paying Microsoft to repair it.

    You can get the digital versions of your games but you would have to pay for them.You wont get them for free just because you own the disc version.
