    Disc won't install


    I have a Destiny 1 Xbox 360 disc and whenever I put it in my Xbox One Series X|S it says Try Again Later Description: We're having trouble verifying your game disc. This may be due to a network or service issue. 0x87e10024
    When I press Install game disc it says it isn't backwards compatible, I can buy Destiny 1 with a collection but I have every DLC so I would be wasting a lot of money.
    When I check backward compatible games the page won't load. I have tried restarting, resetting, this has been going on for a few days.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    As I have checked, the Destiny 1 that was on Xbox 360 is not a backward-compatible game. There is a version for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S which is why you're getting the error.

    If it is not installing correctly from your disc, the disc is definitely broken. remove the current install and try reinstall with the same disc.

    If it can't finish the instal, the disc is damaged and won't work.

    Instaling doesn't include all files and it still relies on the game disc to some degree.

    To expand on SunkNath's answer, if your disc won't even install you can porrow a disc from a friend, install it, then use your disc afor validation afterwards.

    It won't work. When you install a game to the hard drive, the install is linked to the console it was installed on. If you move the hard drive and attach it to another console, the game will only run from disc.

    Your best bet here is to either borrow a working disc from a friend or use a rental copy. Install this disc to your other console and then you can use your scratched disc to run it. As above, you can't copy game installs and transfer kits wipe the source
    drive. You will need a physical working game disc to install it to your other machine, if your current disc won't install.

    No. Disc installs are tied to the console they are installed on. So once you bring the install to your console, it won't work.
