    Disc won't insert all the way


    The discs won't insert all the way. Console is flat, everything work, but when I insert a disc it doesn't go in all the way. I can still see part of the disc as if it's hitting something. I've spent thousands of dollars on Microsoft since the first XBox
    and am a loyal customer. It's been only a year since I've had the One and already this problem?!? I'm pretty upset and hope I don't have to pay (yet again) to get this issue fixed.

    Disc won't insert

    My four year old dropped the console Xbox one. I think there is a game stuck in there cause I can't insert another one. I put the paper clip in the orange hold nothing happen

    XBOX ONE: Disc or Digital Download? - Do you need to keep Disc inside after installing to play?

    Hi, you do not need to switch disc as all games are installed to the Xbox One's hard drive to play; you won't have to insert the disc to run the game after that initial process.

    Sorry to hear about the disc drive troubles!

    Are you certain there isn't another disc already in your Xbox One? If you haven't had a chance, check out this
    Disc Drive Troubleshooter and run through all the provided steps. Keep us updated with how it goes. Unfortunately, if the steps there aren't helping a repair/replacement is going
    to be the best next option.

    Is it only with 1 certain disc? Or with all of them?

    If it's only with 1 certain disc then:

    Install it to your hard drive, that way when the disc is inserted, the disc doesn't spin.

    Holding the disc is the ONLY WAY the console plays any disc, if I insert it normally sends a message saying that is not a game disc. When I insert a music CD it is normal, when I insert a DVD it is normal, I got to do the holding thing only for games.

    Pointless inserting the disc as it won't be read anyway. If you're connected to Live or have the console set as the Home machine, the first thing the system will do is check the license. If the licence is digital then the disc won't even be accessed.

    There is practicaly no difference between disc games and digital, only the medium in which they are delivered.
