    Disc version of game not working completely.


    My friends disc of Dragon Ball Fighterz isn't working, he gets shown the "preview" image before the game starts loading up and then afterwards he gets pushed back to the home menu. He's tried other discs and they work perfectly fine, it's just Fighterz that
    does not seem to work for him. How do we fix it?

    Disc version not working

    Uninstall your game, and put the disc in. Let the disc install then start the game with the disc in.

    Delete the demo/free version, disconnect your Xbox from your internet so that it doesn't try to download the season 2 update, and install the disc. That will let you play the characters from the game from the disc. I haven't downloaded the update since doing
    this, but at least you can play as the characters. You can also go to "manage bundle" and check to see if the individual characters are installed. I understand your frustration... But the above worked for me.

    NO! Unlike some games that have an Xbox One version that will upgrade to the the S|X version if you put it in a series X, NBA2K for S|X is a complete different version than the Xbox One version and it will not work if you put the disc inside of an Xbox One. Xbox One cannon run a Series X game and putting a Series X disc inside an X1 will not install the X1 version.

    Hello Conor R! I'm Kris and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

    Unfortunately disc and digital licenses are classed as different so you need the disc to be able to confirm you own the license for it. As long as the saves are the same version of the game, the saves will still work no matter if they are digital or disc based games. I know in some cases, the complete version of a game uses a different save to the standard version so you would not see a save for it.

    Ive managed to sort it, i think the Games With Gold version conflicted with the disc, after a couple of attempts, i found that completely uninstalling the game and dlcs, going into settings and turning off autoplay on discs in the xbox one settings, and
    then reinstalling, it seems to have worked, just give the xbox a minute to read the disc before launching the game

    The disc version and the digital version of a game require different data. You can use the same save games but you will have to download the game again completely

    I can´t believe anybody from the developers aren´t aware of this, it´s not an isolated thing, we bought the game and can´t play.
