    Disc tray won't close, and can't access system storage


    Have a 250g xbox 360s. The disc tray won't stay closed. Tried to clear the cache to see if it helps, but when i go to system settings and storage i just get a blank screenand spinning wheel. What gives, and are these problems related?

    REPEAT FOREVER AND EVER

    Basically, the xbox is ALWAYS in a state of opening the disc tray. As soon as the tray finishes closing, the xbox opens it again. It will never even begin to try and read the disc that you slip in.

    I got this xbox on black Friday last year.

    I'm in Korea right now so I'm not shipping the stupid thing back.

    No *** answers please, I don't have time for them. A *** answer would be something like "check the grounding" or "clean the touch sensor."

    Doesn't do it with mine, granted if its a problem just remove the disc. Opening and closing the tray won't close Minecraft.

    Try contacting xbox support or return it to retail. The tray may be not working correctly. If you have warrenty still active i ll say return the xbox for a new one. Or you can mail your xbox to mircsoft and get it repaired, i hope i help you with this problem.

    Retail return policies are within 30 days.

    Unplug your console overnight.

    Take out your storage device. Push your tray (slowly, as to not damage the mechanical parts that are responsible for the process) closed after you unplug your console.

    Plug your console back in, turn it on. If it's still acting up, it needs to be serviced.

    They have a warning explaining this when you first buy the system. It's right on the disc tray, you can't miss it

    It flashes rapidly when the disc door opens or closes, since it won't open or close... I'd say you have a tray issue. Unfortunately, since you opened it, if there was a warranty, you just voided it.

    you not getting this message? Can you please go to Settings > System Settings > Storage or Memory depending on the console and check how much free space you have.
