    I am hoping this is the preview forums :/

    Hello , Ever since i joined the preview almost over a year ago my disc tray was working perfectly fine ( but i hardly used it to begin with)

    I play mostly digital games never disc games as i only have 2 disc based games

    Recently i tried to play grand theft auto on disc and i put the disc in and it makes a little noise and then does nothing

    i get NO error or prompt that i entered disc

    I have never dropped the console or moved the console from the place it is situated as off now

    since all these updates it seems to of destoryed my disc tray in some way because there is no way i have broken the disc tray its just stopped working its self

    Please help i don't understand

    My warranty ran out and i have no funds to get it fixed but in my defence i believe the preview update has done this as there is no other reason

    xbox 360 dying?

    My xbox is now freezing frequently and the disc tray always says open tray when there is a game inside and sometimes it says unable to read disc when its in mint condition, is it dead or dying? help needed

    DVD Problem

    I recommend purchasing a disc tray cleaner, they are dead cheap and you can get them at any PC/electric store.

    Or try giving the disc a clean.

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Can you try a normal DVD or an Xbox 360 backward compatible game in your Xbox One console and see if that works? You can also try the steps listed on the
    disc drive troubleshooting guide to see if any of those help. If none of the steps listed help, your Xbox One may be in need of repair. That guide has a link to the Online Service
    Center where you can initiate that process.

    Can you pause and switch with Disc version of games?

    if your disc is in the drive yes.

    Let's say you have Forza 5 in the tray, you can pause, go to an app go back fine.

    The moment you say "Xbox go to Dead Rising 3", it'll say put the disc in the tray (if its a non-digital version).

    Slim can't read Black Ops 2?

    I've had similar problems to this. I tried playing Dead Island when it was brand new on my xbox only to get "Open Disc Tray" message. This meant disc reader is dead. Then my L4D2 disc stopped being read so that means new disc.

    So either the disc reader is having problems or somethings with the disc. Hope your problem gets resolved soon.

    Also, I don't think it's a cleanliness problem. If it reads one disc, shouldn't be able to read the other? JUST NOW, I put in Dead Island and the icon came up, no problem. I took it out and placed Prototype on the tray, pushed the button to close the tray
    and.... black screen for a bit, then "Hey, your disc that's just now been cleaned is dirty."
