Disc stuck...unbelievable

I put a game in and now it won't come out. I went to the support page that says to do a full power cycle. I did that...nothing

I then uncoiled a paper clip (3 of them, all different sizes) and tried what it said for over 30 minutes....nothing

This is the absolute worst solution to manually getting a disc out. $500 and the solution is to uncoil a paper clip and stick it into a hole where you can't see anything? Get it together Microsoft. That's not even the worst part of it all. I tried to talk
to the help desk to figure out if maybe there was something I wasn't doing correctly and this is what I got

I put a game in to my Xbox One and it will not come out. I have tried the full power cycle (holding power button for 10 seconds then booting it back up). I have also been at it with this thing for 30 minutes with 3 paper clips of different sizes.

get a paper clip and push the button to reset the drive and the disc should pop up

I sure didn't. Disc drive is bricked, now I'm stuck waiting at minimum a week. Just lovely. This is what I get for $500 dollars, huh? "Sorry about your luck!"

Unbelievable. Maybe they should have gone to Sony and licensed their Bluray players. The one in the Xbox One clearly isn't worth a penny.

 

Handy tip for all 360 owners, all models of console

Every stuck disc tray from every Xbox was fixed after I walked in the room lol

To prevent the stuck disc tray, leave a disc in it.

I won´t happen with a disc inside.

You haven't said whether you have tried the paper clip solution via looking at the actual guide so I will provide it to you below, as it explains exactly where to place the paper clip.

I hope this helps with it being in more detail. Although the paper clip solution 'sounds' quite far fetched, it helps prevent having to send the console in for a repair as the only other remedy would be to open the console yourself which is of course, against
the Terms of Use / Code of Conduct and should never be done by anyone other then Microsoft technicians.

I had tried the paper clip method right after the hard power cycle with absolutely no luck. Called tech support and they told me to let gamestop try to get it out. If they can't, I'm going to have to send it in for repairs. Unfortunately, this issue came
at the worst possible time. Thanks for trying to help
