    my blu-ray seemed to be working at first, but the next day, every disc I put in gives me this error. I am connected straight into the tv from the xbox. If i unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in, the disc will start playing fine, but just for that
    disc. Also, if I perfeom a soft reset by holding the power button for a few seconds, it fixes it for all discs, until the next day or so and it goes back to the old problem. I dont want to have to reset the console every couple days. It aeems to be a hdcp
    handshake issue as if the xbox does not get a signal back from the tv for some reason. The tv is a toshiba 40rv525u. Its firmware is up to date as well. Any thoughts/fixes? I have seen some posts about issues if the xbox goes into standby, but this can't be
    the problem as I always power off the system after use.

    HDCP Error - Disc stopped.

    This is a block in comms between the TV and Xbox, had this issue since Xbox 360 came out and had to find a back door in to my TV. Mine is a Samsung so you'll need to find your "service menu".

    1) Put TV in standby and connect the Xbox 360/one

    2) To open the Service Menu enter this sequence while TV is off: Info - Menu - Mute - Power

    3) Now only use up or down! to navigate to "Advanced" but dont press anything

    4) Put in: 0 0 0 0 on the numbers

    5) Now only use up or down to navigate to "ADJUST" - hit enter

    6) Now only use up or down! to navigate to "HDCP Download" - hit enter

    7) Use left/right to put it to "On"

    8 ) Now to leave the menu power the tv off (standby) and power back on

    After troubleshooting some more last night I was able to successfully get blu ray discs and 4k blu ray discs by changing the resolution in settings to 1080p and then back to 4k. I believe this forced the "handshake" which got rid of my HDCP error that I
    was getting. (Error 0x91d7000a)

    Just wanted to pass this along. Curious if this resolves the issue for others!

    It comes up with an error code saying the TV input isnt compatible but when you search the error code it just says to restart the console and replace the disc. I did that 4 times and it never played
    Without knowing the exact error code, my guess for the only reason why a TV Input wouldn't be compatible with a DVD would be if the HDCP copy protection handshake fails between console and TV, and the console doesn't get a confirmation from the TV that the
    HDMI channel is now encrypted.

    Can you check if the situation improves when you use a different (known working) HDMI cable? While the console may display games and non-movie stuff perfectly well (as it doesn't have to be encrypted), a broken lead on other HDMI data lines might prevent
    the HDCP handshake.

    Also check if your TV has a firmware update available. Maybe there is a known issue that prevents your TV from establishing an encrypted HDCP connection to the console reliably.

    Is Thor the only movie giving you trouble, or are other movies also throwing errors? Is the movie on DVD or BluRay disc?

    I'm having the same problem with Netflix that you guys are having. I think it may be due to the age of my TV, I have a 2007 Sony Bravia and I think it may be incompatible with the type of check they are doing that causes this output protection error. I
    also tried to play a blu-ray and got an error that the disc had stopped because my TV may not support HDCP rights management. I never got any of this with the 360. Kind of lame that I have to keep switching back, but like you all have been saying it seems
    like its a software problem.
