Disc Read Error AND Support Options Unaccetpable

My Xbox-One is having a difficult time reading ANY disc at this point, at first it was the occasional random game disc, after hard powering down and starting up it usually worked. I'm at the point now where blu-rays rarely work (I have to take it out and
reinsert over a dozen times, and hard power restart etc). This is getting insane! My other issue is this is actually the second Xbox-One this happened to me with. My initial Day One Edition had the same issue and Microsoft offered a rapid exchange solution
(they would send me a replacement, I send my old one back) Luckily I had an extended return policy through best buy and just exchanged it there (So my new warranty on my new model is from 20JAN2014 to 20JAN2015)

My problem is now Xbox Support is only offering for me to SEND my Xbox in. I know this is how standard warranties work, but considering the previous offer was made (which I didn't use), I have a week off work, and 23 Xbox One games (plus im buying an additional
5 this month)

I want to know why this disc issue is still rather rampant (i can read the forums, cant be told its isolated) why im being denied the rapid exchange warranty, and if I can still have that happen. I have put way too much money into this system, and its
becoming a burden to use.

Disc Read Error

My xbox reads every other game except mw3, ms or infinity ward needs to get there heads out of each other and fix this or I will no longer be apart of xbox. Ps3 network is free anyways so that's looking like a better option. Xbox live has terrible customer
support, they act like were retarded I've had an xbox for 5 years and never had this problem till mw3. My xbox is fine so stop telling me to send it in or get a new disc drive, I will repeat it plays every game but NOT MW3. Someone was smart enough to ruin
my mw3 experience so make them fix it.

 

August Update Issues (Disc Error)

Has anyone else had problems with their Xbox One not being able to read game discs since installing the latest August update?

Xbox Support said the issue has been wide-spread but I haven't seen anyone mention it on forums or articles.

 

Ok, first off let's try something. I had this issue in the past and these were the support steps suggested to me.

Head to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray then uncheck Enable BD Live and click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

If that does not work and the console still cannot read the discs then contact phone support. The advance exchange has been taken off the website but I believe they can still offer it to you over the phone.
