    Disc not being pulled into console


    Hello, I hope I am in the right area for Console Troubleshooting.

    My issue is with my disc not being pulled into my console. I have tried it vertically, horizontally, even upside down still nothing.

    I have unplugged the machine and restarted it, and still nothing. The disc just sits there and never gets electrically pulled in like it should. This is not my first issue with this. I previously got an RA#, but did not use it because it started to work(sporadically),
    but this is getting so frustrating since I just got the Xbox one S just before Xmas and have a continuing issue.

    I would like to know if there is any thing i can do or just take it in for repair.

    One temporary quick fix that can be used is to hold the disc for a second while it starts to pull the disc in. This doesn't always work, but usually makes it so that the console will read it the first time. You just have to hold the disc while it's being
    pulled in for about 1 second, then let it go.

    Skyrim disc basically screwed up - what can I do?

    The disc stayed inside the console when the tray came out? That's not good. My fear is that when you pulled the jammed disc out of the console, you may have damaged the disc drive itself. About the only experiment available to you is to try a different
    Skyrim disc and see if it plays any better. If not, the problem is now with your console/disc drive.

    If a power cycle isn't helping you out, unfortunately you'll want to consider reaching out to the
    Online Service Center to explore having your console repaired or replaced. I know it's not ideal, but that is definitely not normal behavior for an Xbox One S.

    If a power cycle isn't helping you out, unfortunately you'll want to consider reaching out to the
    Online Service Center to explore having your console repaired or replaced. I know it's not ideal, but that is definitely not normal behavior for an Xbox One S.

    Signing in

    This means that your console is not reading the disc to get the see that the license is on the disc.

    You may want to try holding the disc for like half a second when inserting it and let the console grab the disc and pull it in sometimes that will work.

    Cannot load disc in new Xbox One

    Sorry to hear it. On the front of the console is a slot. You would slide the disc in there. Once in a small amount the console will grab the disc and pull it in. To remove the disc you would press the silver button just to the right of the slot.

    Does your console sit vertically or horizontall? If the answer is vertical, it's been known that gravity can pull on your game disc & ruin it. If it's vertical, I recommend you set your console into a horizontal position so it's laying flat. This will decrease
    the chance of gravity ruining your disc.
