Disc Installations Stopping At Around 10%

I did some browsing recently and found out that nobody really has a fix, nor have there been any updates to attempt to fix this error. I'm just happy it's not only me.

You might remember me from a post a while back where I said that my Xbox was destroying my game discs - they aren't destroyed, but they never load on the first try. Ex. Put disc in. Take it out, turn it slightly to the right. Doesn't work. Eject. Repeat
20-30 times.

Now, I've just tried putting Evolve in for the first time in months since my Xbox went berzerk, and it worked. But, now the game won't install. It halts around the 10% mark. I also tried games like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Watch Dogs, but to no avail.

Can't Download Game From Disc

My issue is that I am currently trying to download Forza Horizon 2 on disc, but the installation keeps stopping even though my connection, storage, and disc are all fine. I've restarted the Xbox, the installation, and just about everything else. I honestly
have no clue at this point as to what the problem could be. The installation keeps stopping at %26, but since it says the game is ready to start, and in game, it says the installation is at %74 and wont move at all.

Day one game updates not completing.

Even though your's aren't stopping at or around 0%, this still might work.

Certainly would suggest the Blueray drive is out of alignment/failing to spin reliably. Unfortunately that is not a user serviceable part. You should contact 18004MYXBOX and discuss repair fees or resign yourself to making your purchases via digital download
from here on out.

Yeah, the only real thing that I can really do at this point is send my Xbox in for $200, or start downloading games. That's what I thought I would end up having to do. Oh well.

If anybody else has any other advice, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

Yeah if you're disk's aren't scratched or anything then take is probably the case.

And are they really charging that much for that? You could do it yourself if you found the right disk drive. Don't these things have a warranty of some sort?

I'm sorry to hear about the download issue. To be sure that we are not missing any troubleshooting steps, I recommend trying a few steps in order to get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
Leave the console unplugged for 5 minutes and plug in your console.
Power on your console.
Check in My games and apps to see if the installation is in progress.
I also recommend checking our Problems downloading a game or app on Xbox One page.

If the issue continues after trying the suggested steps above, please let us know and we will be standing by to help.
