Disc in drive sometime thinks it's just a download.

Having an issue when I want to play a game that in the disc drive. Right it's titanfall and if I've turned off my xbox one the night before and go to start it up the next day it will say I don't own the game. What I have to do to fix that is eject the disc
and put it back in and the. It starts up no problem. Just thought Microsoft should know if they don't.

    :)

  2. (Posting for my cousin haha) Disc pulling mechanism sometimes feels delayed? The drive still works perfectly, reads first try. It's just the pulling mechanism doesn't seem as snappy sometimes haha (self.xboxone)

    Hi all!

My cousin just bought his Xbox One Unity bundle and he's wondering if this has ever happened to anyone.

Just as a background, his Xbox disc drive works perfectly, everything reads once and it plays lol it's brand new!

Ok, now to his question. He said that sometimes when he wants to change discs, the pulling mechanism for discs seem a bit delayed than let's say when he initially inserts disc from boot. Like for example, he turns on his xbox (from energy-saving) and inserts
DAI, perfect. He plays for 2 hours and wants to play Destiny, he ejects the game and inserts the Destiny disc; it's here when he says that sometimes the pulling mechanism of the drive is a BIT delayed in grabbing the disc. It still works first time, it's just
pulling the disc in seems a bit "delayed" from his description, like the drive went to sleep and wasn't as snappy haha. Also, just to add, you know that initial clunk that happens when you first insert a disc before it starts spinning, then doesn't happen
again on subsequent inserts? It happens whenever the delay thing happens, which makes us think the drive did go to sleep or something lol

Anyway, I had my Xbox a bit earlier than he did, and after the some monthly updates, I noticed the exact same thing happen sometimes. So, I'm not sure if it's a software thing or just normal function for disc drive.

So, basically, does anyone else sometimes experience this phenomenon? Like the disc drive pulling mechanism is sometimes slightly delayed in pulling in the game?

He asked me to post since he's in a middle of a boss fight LMAO and was kind off scarred from the 360's old hardware issues so he wanted some opinions lol

    Thanks for any help guys!

how do i get Halo 4 to run off the hard drive instead of the DVD drive?

Like I said, as long as it's installed it should play off the hard drive no matter how you start the game. The disc will still spin at start up and sometimes they do spin during the game. The only way to play it without having to use the disc drive at all
would be to download the game digitally.

Oh, that sometimes happens to me and I don't think it is because of the disc drive failing.

Xbox One X won't load read discs unless I hard reboot if Energy Saver power mode is enabled

Yeah it could just be that the drive is not waking up when turning on, sometimes ejecting the disc then reinserting the disc works.

My xbox one out of nowhere can't read the disc games

    Hi there,

We appreciate you reaching out to us with this issue. Are you seeing a specific error message? Also, if the content is downloaded onto an external drive, we recommend transferring it to the internal drive to see if this helps. Sometimes even reinstalling
the content can be helpful for these types of issues.
Hello! There's no message, just a black screen. The game is downloaded onto the internal drive but i don't think this is the problem because the same black screen happens with every disc i insert. The console can load only the games i downloaded with a code
    from the store.

    Xbox freezes

Well the problem has gotten better, my disc is in great shape and my disc drive sometimes gives me an unreadable disc error, but that's only when the disc is dirty all I have to do is clean the disc so I think 3arc might have fixed the issue
