disc drive wont read games

I uninstalled the preview app but it said that you will continue to be in the preview until the wave is complete. I'm going to remove my profile and reinstall to see if that help limits the issue.

This should be posted in the Update Preview forums.

The team working on the updates are only checking posts there.

You should flesh out your post too with some more information - for instance, when you first noticed this happening, whether it happens with all games and whether you have attempted any remedies for this.

Before you post there, I would also suggest you power cycle your console as this has a tendency to fix these issues:

If the issue persists, the Update Preview forums are where you want to be posting.

I have the beta preview and the same thing has been having the same issue since the update. This looks like some form of software bug. After the hard reset by holding the power button for about 10 seconds or so. Then after starting the machine it will work
as intended. i have had to do this numerous times so far and every time the hard reset is the ticket. Hope this helps!

I'd like to point out that I too am experiencing this problem. Doing a complete reset of the console allows me to play a different disk, but it is a proper pain in the neck.

 

I got the preview update last night and got this error. Next time I restarted my XBOX, I got a system error. MSFT is having to send me a new console out. How nice of them to charge me $14.95 because of their beta update. Last time I will ever do anything
beta with Microsoft.

 

hold the power button until your xbox turns off, the button the the console. then un plugg the power cable for 2min. next turn on xbox and go to settings, disc and blu ray and click that option that starts with p.. some thing.

 

Just got the message today what you need to do is first unplug the power brick cord from the xbox one and then put the cord back into the xbox one and turn the system back on hopefully this works everyone else and not just me.

 

Same issue here. I'm in the preview group as well. Hard restart seems to have worked for now. It just started acting up yesterday

The hard reset is only a temporary fix. I have never had my xbox on standby mode. I find a way to beat the error is to grab the disc before it sucks it back in. Doesnt work every time but other than that i just put the disc in i want to play then restart
the xbox. I unregistered myself from the preview program. I find it pathetic they can let a bug like this slip past them for a beta update. Better off waiting a couple weeks longer like everybody else, silly to alter your gaming experience when there is bugs
with every preview update.
