Disc drive won't read games

My Xbox One won't read any of my games, since the latest system update it has had trouble reading them, now they won't read at all. Anyone know any fixes?

L4D2 disc does not work on Xbox one

Sounds like a hardware fault with the disc drive since it won't read a DVD or Xbox 360 game.

you can try this link to assist you, I know it's listed as Xbox 360 troubleshooting, but steps still apply to Xbox One:

If this does not assist you, you can try to hard reset your console:

To hard reset your console, hold down power button "on console" for a solid 10 seconds, then unplug the power chord from the back of your Xbox and leave it unplugged for 3 minutes. Then power everything back on and see if it fixes the issue.

If it doesn't you can try to reset your console to factory default, but before you do that, you **NEED TO KNOW** that you will have to redownload you games again and before you try this you will need to make sure that you know your account login information.

You can find your Microsoft emai address by logging into your account and going to Settings / Sign-in Security and Passkey. Your email will be listed there, check you password by trying to log into your account at xbox.com. You game saves will be fine and
resynce when you launch game after redownloading them and your profile. If none of this works for you, you will need to set up a repair on your console, which you can do at

A Series S doesn't have a disc drive, so it won't read any discs.

That game is not backwards compatible so it won't work on a newer console.

Have you tried the games with the disc in the drive? When the disc goes in the drive, the triangle with the exclamation mark goes away, which will then let you play the game. Make sure the disc drive is working as well. If the drive isn't working then the triangle will stay, and you won't be able to play the disc based games, as the disc can't be read.

I mean you can put the disc in the drive to check. It won't damage anything, it just won't read it properly.
