    Disc drive problem


    Some people have been getting disc drive problems where it grinds and wont let them run discs right out of the box. But my disc drive problem started about a month after i got the console and happens on and off. Sometimes when i put the disc in, it makes
    an odd grinding noise, and i have to take it out and put it back in. This usually fixes it the first time, or i have to try up to 5 times to get it to work on a bad day. Some days it doesn't even happen. I'm wondering if there is anything i can do to stop
    this and if it could get worse to the point where i cant run any discs at all, i wont try to get a replacement unless it gets to that point.

    Disc drives malfunctioning in Xbox One units

    I just read an article that says Microsoft is acknowledging faulty disc drives in some Xbox One units. Some people are having a problem with the drive making a grinding noise and not reading the disc, so if you have this problem, you're not alone!

    X1 Disc Drive Problems...

    You can chat with Microsoft as you are chatting with us, through texts. It's one of the options rather than being on the phone with them.

    I've also never heard of them blowing people off on this topic. They're usually good with this stuff from what I've heard.

    Disc drive problem

    Feel your pain, my worked for months and now same problem. Half the time it makes a grinding noise or no noise at all, get a message can't read disk. Going all digital starting with titanfall. Should've had said no to the day one eddition at toys r us.

    It could be the disc is dirty or has scratches, or it could be a problem with the drive. Give the disc a clean see if that solves it. Also you could install the game to your hard drive which would mean it wouldn't be such a problem. If the problem persists
    though I would read through this support topic and maybe contact Microsoft Support.

    apparently an isolated amount of xbox 360s do this due to the xbox update. I would call xbox and see what they can do

    Disc Drive Problem

    Tried three different discs so far, none work on my console. They work fine on other Xbox's but only mine isn't working. Any other game works though, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, Borderlands 2, all new games except Black Ops 2.

    I've even tried without my hard drive, uninstalling the system updates, nothing works at all. This is soon to be a returned game.

    Also I felt I should add that I have an old elite. Maybe it will help.
