    Disc drive problem


    Hey everyone my Xbox 360 disk drive one read any of my disks that put in so I cleaned out the inside maybe once or twice in that didn't help so I replaced the disk drive with the new one that I order from online and I put that one it thought my modern warfare
    three game was black ops 1 and it thought my black ops one was a DVD can anyone help me with this problem please. Thank you

    Disc drives malfunctioning in Xbox One units

    I just read an article that says Microsoft is acknowledging faulty disc drives in some Xbox One units. Some people are having a problem with the drive making a grinding noise and not reading the disc, so if you have this problem, you're not alone!

    X1 Disc Drive Problems...

    You can chat with Microsoft as you are chatting with us, through texts. It's one of the options rather than being on the phone with them.

    I've also never heard of them blowing people off on this topic. They're usually good with this stuff from what I've heard.

    The discussion of self repair is not allowed in the forums. No one here can help you with this. Your warranty is obviously also void now so you may just have to purchase a new console.

    It's been void for 4 years now because I got my console 5-6 years ago and never opened it untill now

    does not matter your only option is to buy the new 360 sorry nobody on the forum will help you to get that 360 to work.

    It could be the disc is dirty or has scratches, or it could be a problem with the drive. Give the disc a clean see if that solves it. Also you could install the game to your hard drive which would mean it wouldn't be such a problem. If the problem persists
    though I would read through this support topic and maybe contact Microsoft Support.

    apparently an isolated amount of xbox 360s do this due to the xbox update. I would call xbox and see what they can do

    Disc Drive Problem

    Tried three different discs so far, none work on my console. They work fine on other Xbox's but only mine isn't working. Any other game works though, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, Borderlands 2, all new games except Black Ops 2.

    I've even tried without my hard drive, uninstalling the system updates, nothing works at all. This is soon to be a returned game.

    Also I felt I should add that I have an old elite. Maybe it will help.
