    Disc Drive/Preview Program


    My disc drive on my day one Xbox One is going bad(well I think it is.)

    It has been having issues for a long time now, although almost everything I buy is digital.

    It takes forever to recognize a disc, then will constantly pop up "Do you own this game/app?" I was thinking about just buying the elite console.

    Would I still stay in the preview program? I remember seeing a post about someone sending their console in for repair and that booted them out.

    Since 10.26 error codes 0x80820003-0x1A & 0x80820002

    since downloading this preview program update I have not been able to use my disc drive. I have been on the phone with customer service three times and we have went through all the reset procedures. Even after preview went live disc drive still did not work
    and did not let me put disc into it until after factor reset.

    Hello Ganster47. You can try this steps:

    1. Go to settings then BluRay. Go to Persistent storage then clear them.

    2. Go to settings then Power and Start up. Set the power mode to Energy Saving

    3. Do a hard reset. Press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds and that will turn off your console. Unplug the power supply from the power source for 2 minutes.

    4.Connect it back after 2 minutes and turn on the console then try to play your game disc.

    5. cross your fingers.

    I've tried all of these things in the past. The disc drive just seems to not read every now and then. I just want to know if I would be in the preview program if I bought the elite console.

    Hi Ganster47,

    You'll still be in the preview program, you'd need to re-install the preview dash app from your ready to install list on your new console.
