    my xbox one disc drive isn't accepting games. There is no disc in the console and I'm getting resistance from the console if I try to push a game in.

    any ideas ??

    Not that this helps you now, but NEVER ever ever ever buy an Xbox console used.

    It sounds like your disc drive is taking a turn for the worse. If you installed it on your HDD, the disc drive only spins the disc when you first start the game, so having it restart mid-game is rather odd to hear.

    April update messing with disk drive

    & ive also got the issue with the disc drive taking the game back in once ive pressed eject

    Mine did that a while back , I did a hard shutdown and unplugged it for a few minutes ...worked fine after that...

    Why are there load times if we installed

    It still takes time to read the game off the hard drive, just like with reading a game off the disc. The hard drive is just a bit faster, and you don't have to have a disc spinning constantly and wearing down your disc drive when it's on the hard drive.

    The circle ring around your disc usually happens if you move the xbox with the disc in the drive. The only way to fix this is to take it to a game store that repairs discs, they usally take a layer of the disc, but it doesn't always work.

    Hello, if you take the Xbox offline do those disc based games then work ok ?

    I sometimes have issues with disc based games not loading and what I tend to do is pop the disc into the drive but gently hold the disc preventing the drive from taking the disc in for just a second and then let go of the disc.
