Disc drive noise when drive is empty.

My x box one keeps making a noise in the disk drive. There is no disk in it and works fine when playing games. But if I'm watching Netflix or just sitting at the home page it makes this noise like the drive is trying to cycle a disc or eject one. But like
I said its empty. This comes in random intervals but has been happening the last few days. Does anyone know what's wrong?

    :)

BUZZZZZZZ, BUZZZZZZZZ, BUZZZZZZZZZ...... DISC IN DRIVE NOISE?

Help, my xbox one has started to make a buzzing noise whenever there is a disc in the drive. It's a dull noise that is very irritating when trying to watch netflix and other various apps. When there is no disc in the drive there is no noise, it only makes
the noise when there is disc in the drive. Even when Sat at the dashboard the darn thing makes the noise, it's not even like I'm booting the disc up or anything? I have the xbox one since launch and its been problem free until yesterday, is it about to die?

I don't know for sure, but you may have an issue with your disc drive that may require a repair. I would first turn off the console by opening the guide, going down to Settings, then Turn off console. When it turns off, unplug the power cord from the back
for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in, reboot and see if you're still hearing this.

Disc drive buzzing/humming really loud. First time used for game.

The disc drive makes considerably more noise when installing a disc to hard drive, however it would be very quiet when that process has finished, hope that helps.

    CD Drive Noise?

You'll never have a 100% silent disc drive when it is reading data from the disc. As long as it is still reading/detecting the disc fine and not a loud grinding noise, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmm, a clicking noise...could be the hard drive.
