    Disc Drive Error 0x80820002


    Hello

    On my xbox one (OS 6.2.13332.0) i get the error message "Disc Drive Error 0x80820002" when i put an xbox 360 game in (mass effect)

    . the game works fine on my xbox 360

    . i have tried the following, which does not fix the issue:

    • Make sure your Xbox One console is placed horizontally on a flat, stable surface.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 3 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and try playing a disc.
    . the disk is in perfect condition - no scratches

    . this is the first time ive seen this error, all other xbox one games appear to be fine

    . i have tried the "trick" someone did on on youtube by holding onto the disk for a second before the xbox one sucks it in, but it didnt work

    any advice would be appreciated

    Disc Drive Error 0x80820002

    Xbox One doesn't have backwards compatibility yet (November 12 when Windows 10 rolls out), unless you're in the preview program. Mass Effect is on the list of debut backwards compatible games, so it will be downloadable after November 12.
