    My disc drive does not play physical discs. When I insert (any) disc, I receive the error "Eject disc and try again" or "Do you own this game or app?" I've done the necessary troubleshooting with multiple members of support. The one year warranty on my
    console expired JUST before I started experiencing this issue. Because of this, I am being told I have to pay $135 to have it repaired and that there is nothing I can do about that. Not only that, but I have no recourse for receiving a credit on my online
    account, which I am currently paying for, but unable to use because my Xbox One is a $500 brick.

    I love video games. I have purchased every Xbox since the very first (all which have had major problems i.e. Red Rings of Death), but for whatever reason, I continue to throw money at Microsoft. Am I being unreasonable when I ask for this console to be
    repaired for free? Or at the very least, not be charged for an online service I am unable to use? The only way Xbox will get another penny from me is if Bill Gates himself pries it out of my cold, dead hands. I'm feeling very disappointed and defeated.
    Can anyone help?

    Whats the issue with the Drives ? do they just flatly refuse to plays discs ?

    Blu Ray app changes the TV resolution and does not play dvds

    As soon as i loaded the BluRay app to play my DVD discs the Xbox thinks my TV is not 4k any more. It refuses to play any DVD but it will play BluRay discs. I had to uninstall the app to get the box to get back to 4k again. Is there no support for regular
    DVD s?

    I tried multiple versions old and new to make sure this was not disc issue. It does recognize the disc but it won't play . It acts like it does not have the rights to play the disc and or incorrect codecs to decipher the disc. Does anyone have a solution?

    Sorry to hear it. However, if you've tried all the steps that support suggested and the issue remains you have no recourse but to send the console in for repair.

    Ya faulty Disc Drives it did have it. Mine does it as well. Refusing to open at times and it's a crystal edition.

    halo 4 disk read error

    Even if the disc has been installed to the hdd, the drive still reads the security checks from the disc. Ensure the disc is clean and scratch free. Try reinstalling it to the hdd and see if that helps. Otherwise it sounds like a disc drive error. Does this
    happen with other games? If so, go to www.xbox.com/support to begin a repair order.
