disc damaged ... workaround ? digital version ?

Dear,

I have different games on blu-ray.

Unfoirtunately 2 of them are not working anymore (scratch or dust ... I really do not know).

I did some research and did not find a solution about the possibility to download a "dematerialized" version of the game I have.

I understand that some would take this as a way to "have free game" but in my case this is not the purpose !

Any one has an idea ? is it possible to do ?

My principe is the follwing one :

- the disc can be use to authenticate that I am the owner of the game and also the xbox is not reading on the disc during the game !

- so in my opinion having the "digital" version in parrallel of the "physical one" should not be a problem.

Do you have a digital copy of the game or an actual disc? The disc could be dirty or damaged

Afraid not.

If you want a digital version of the game then you would need to buy it again.

If the disc is new then i'd take it back & get a replacement.

You can try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth or a lot of dedicated game stores offer a cheap disc repair service so you could try that.

If other disc based games are having the same issue then it could be a problem with the consoles disc drive.

 

You would have to purchase the digital version in order to have the digital version. There is no way to download the game digitally just by owning the disc

 

This is very bad ....

The politic to ask a replacement of the media is first not that easy ... and the possibility to download a digital version when you have the disc would have the perfect solution for all people having trouble with their media.

But as seen Microsoft is asking more money for the difgital version there is no way to see something so easy happening.

Especially in my case :

- All games were installed on the Xbox

- the Xbox were broken and return to the support

- so no more game because (after 2x) the replacement of the xbox.

- than I had to reinstall everything and finally 2 disc are not readable but orignally the game were installed.

and of course I am not speaking of having a pure digital version but to have the possibility to install the game via the digital way ... but keeping the obligation to inset the disc to play....

do you have an idea of where i can find a way to ask the replacement of the 2 discs ?
