    Disappointing Xbox one support, server uptime & all around inability to enjoy games/apps


    New Xbox one, not new to product with existing gold and two 360's. All in all reliability and server issues has been appallingly of late with service alerts. Fast forward family tries new system hoping for renewed enjoyment... So far to date it has been
    daily issues with apps (netfix), games (halo, destiny & dragon age) all with inability to play, freezing, unable access servers. General call in support is to hard cycle Xbox one, delete & redownload app/game/profile/whatever and point the finger at bungie
    &/or apps. Lack of ownership and usability of product is shameful and without remorse to paying customers who are stuck paying for useless gold memberships. All in all I feel like a cheated customer who has been taken for a spin on a product the does not,
    will not or cannot perform to advertised levels. Downtime is some of the worse I have heard of and to point the finger and claim no blame strikes of horrible tech partnerships, that only further the $ before all experience you have provided of late. Yours

    what is the one thing that has made you the most ticked off about x1

    That I can do/enjoy more features & apps on my 360 than the the Xbox One.

    Xbox supports 24Hz refresh rate on apps but there's a catch

    You can read the summary here on Flatpanels but it was IGN who did the leg work.

    The catch is no-one bothered ever supporting it. While you can get 24Hz for Blu-ray you could not for apps.

    It was long thought 24Hz on Xbox apps like Amazon or Netflix was blocked because of limitations with UWP being a cross platform system, it wasn't, UWP based apps on Xbox could support frame rate switching but no-one cared to do it. IGN looked up the software developer docs for UWP found they support it then even made a demo app to prove it works.

    So that's kinda disappointing, the means to make it happen has been there all along.

    IGN did reach out to the developer of myTube who is considering adding support for frame rate switching.

    Will the Xbox One Support 3D Blu-Rays and 3D TV'S?

    Xbox one is a five game pony with no real apps or 3-D support. I have never been this disappointed in a console at launch, and I buy them all. Back to my 360. Selling this P.O.S xbox one look for it on craigs list

    I'm sorry to hear you feel that way about Xbox.

    Xbox always aims for 100% stability and uptime, however, all servers will have their problems.

    I know myself that PSN also has issues, and generally, they aren't as quick to fix them.

    You do realize that maintence of a server is impirtant

    Xbox has more uptime then any other service

    Not.to.mention gets hacked.less

    Id go.for better service then free
