Disappointed with Xbox One

Iv always loved my xbox's, and i'v gotten through a few. But. Having just updated to the Xbox One I can only say I'm disappointed. The whole experience seems to be a big hassle. I just want to turn on and play. Sure there's always been the occasional update
in the passed and that's to be expected, but this thing seems to want to spend all its and my time updating, uploading and installing. Iv spent 7 hours on this thing and only 3 of those was actually playing something. for the first time I find myself looking
at the PS. I didn't think id ever say that.

Dang I didnt know other ppl felt the same thing about what we lost as well..Hmm me thinks I shouldve looked smh

 

The Playstation you also have to do a lot of installing and updating, that's modern gaming now I'm afraid.

 

Whilst the ps4 is quicker at installign imo, please bear in mind that since xmas there are alot of people trying to do the same thing which is slowing it down.

Add to that the sad little trolls called Lizard Squad who have meaningless lives and seem intent on stopping people playing games (like it hurts anyone but the gamers, but thats another thread) then you need to consider that it wont always be this bad.

 

If its a game on disc you are installing then go offline and it will install quicker

 

I'm not entirely sure what the PS4 is like for updating, but if its anything like the PS3 its a huge time worthy task! I picked up an XBox One just before Christmas and its not been too bad on the updating front, updated itself when i first plugged it in,
since then its just been game install and update, nothing too major that stops me from playing.

 

Leave it in insta on mode and all updates happen automatically. Can't remember last time I was troubled by an update.

This is like saying that New York City is a bad place to visit because you were bored by the 4th hour of your flight.

 

@ Mexi. PS4 is nothing like 3 where patches are concerned. You can play the game while it's patch downloads and installs in the background.

 

already mentioned ... ITS MODERN GAMING ... switching to PS4 wont make much difference

 

Just buy both... If you can

 

^ I'm with Biscuit above, try out both if you can, both have their pro's and cons but a lot of fun to be had with both in my opinion depending on what games you are into.

Like mentioned above, the PS4 is quicker when installing but this day and age you will need some patience with either console with installing and game updates especially if your broadband isn't the fastest.
