Disappointed with the Xbox One experience.

So I was wondering if anyone can tell me what's up,

I set up my Xbox One a couple of days ago and started to play Black Ops 3, I immediately noticed slow texture loading across all multiplayer maps and zombies and even got the occasional bit of screen tearing. I can even stand in front of an object for 10
seconds or so before the texture even loads in properly? I was playing zombies earlier today and the Double Tap perk machine was pretty much pixelated, literally giant squares of pixel.

I move away from objects or even move backward in the environment and the really nice textures go like Sega Mega Drive or something and if I move forward they load back in. I noticed the exact same thing on Halo 5 campaign when I put that in and started
to play it just to see if it was the same as Black Ops and it was. It really takes away from the gaming experience noticing all this stuff loading up as you move or disappearing. Is this really next gen gaming? I have a 22'' 1080p 60fps tv so I don't think
it's the tv?

I'm seriously disappointed and I don't know whether to be disappointed with the Xbox One or the games or both but I'm disappointed. I feel betrayed, Microsoft.

This is like saying that New York City is a bad place to visit because you were bored by the 4th hour of your flight.

Whilst the ps4 is quicker at installign imo, please bear in mind that since xmas there are alot of people trying to do the same thing which is slowing it down.

Add to that the sad little trolls called Lizard Squad who have meaningless lives and seem intent on stopping people playing games (like it hurts anyone but the gamers, but thats another thread) then you need to consider that it wont always be this bad.

 

Don't play either of those so can't comment on them but not had the issues you describe in any of the games I've played.

You may just be unlucky & have a faulty console.I'd take it back & exchange it if I was you.

 

I would agree with Badger, it sounds like a dodgy console, possibly something to do with your hard drive not being able to stream the texture files quick enough.

 

i get this as well always when I start a match or or the beginning of a map load at the start give it a min or 2 then its ok , is your internal hardrive full or almost full

 

Hey guys, I hope it's not a faulty console as that would really suck. Not sure if I can return it as it was a gift I got last June and I've had it in my room since. I've only recently gotten around to setting it up because I got a new tv. It's a 1TB Halo
Guardians console, I've only installed Halo and Black Ops 3 so there's plenty of room on the Hard drive.

 

I play COD and don't have any of them problems try hard resetting the Xbox hold the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplug it for 5-10 mins

 

I'll try that Mr Boozyhead, thanks. I'll let you know if that works. Also, I've had the Xbox since late October / early November! I thought I'd had it since June as my Birthday is that month and it was a present for my Birthday but obviously wasn't released
until October, opps! My bad.

 

after new xbox one experience I have 2 problems my activity feed does not update without you reset and when looking on xbox one internet browser after looking at 4 pages I have to reset to look at more

 

I tried that hard reset with no luck. Maybe that's just the way the games were made so they can be 60fps and all that?

 

The games definitely shouldn't be playing like that.

The games I've played that are 60fps have never done what you've described.

Are you 100% sure it's not your tv?

Are there any other games you could try?

 

Defo sounds like a faulty console or TV to me.

Could even be down to a faulty HDMI cable.

 

Compare what you are seeing against Youtube videos. If there is a difference, then there is an issue.

As people have said, try and test with other games if possibe (borrow one if you can)

 

I'd rather it be the TV to be honest Reidzer 1314, but I'll try a different HDMI cable. With Youtube Videos the gamer moves a bit fast for me to notice, where as I like to stop and admire things so it's hard to tell. I did notice in one YouTubers Halo gameplay
video that some part in the distance were loading in like mine. I think I'll try borrow a game from someone and see how that play, thanks for the replies folks!
