    Disappointed with the b.c. games list


    received an xbox one recently and none of my favourite games are supported by backwards compatibility - mostly Skyrim. Anyone know if that's going to be supported at all?

    I'm assuming i have to buy borderlands 2 and presequel again...? Even more of a pain.

    XBox One B.C list released.....

    The real interesting thing will be how they get these games to run.

    As part of the preview program I have been able to test out Gears. I found, for the most part at least, that the game ran pretty smoothly. Some sections though had severe frame rate issues. I suspect that this was caused by the emulator forcing all games
    to be vertically synced. On sections of Gears, I found the fps drop from what felt like a solid 30 fps to 10 fps.

    Now assuming they have now worked out the kinks and removed the forced vysnc to the adaptive one that most Xbox 360 games use, it will be interesting to see if the emulator and the Xbox One can maintain those frame rates, especially for those 60 fps titles.

    Sorry about not having all games backwards compatible yet, but the
    Microsoft XBOX     team is hard at work on getting all
    XBOX 360 games backwards compatible. It just will take some time to get them due to some coding issues. Also, if there is a game that you really want to see on the list, make your voice heard
    at Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice and vote for your favorite game to be backwards compatible. There you can also see the full list of games that are available right now for downloading. This is an exciting
    time for Microsoft
    XBOX ONE     owners, not only because of backwards compatibility but you can get free games with a gold membership, and two games come out every month, us as gamers are getting a whole
    lot. Hope this helps you understand a little bit more of what's going on. So "Game On", and keep building that Gamerscore.

    Mike Ybarra actually said mass effect 2 and 3 are being worked on but they are multi disc games that require a little extra work

    Glad to see the Bioshock games on the "Coming Soon" list, but disappointed not to see F:NV, Skyrim or Red Dead Redemption.

    Oh well. I have my 360 hooked up and handy if I need to scratch that itch so ... life goes on.
