    I bought an xbox market place gift card. I was eager to purchase castlevainia symphonie of the night. I knew that it was an xbox 360 arcade download title. What I didnt know was I wouldn't be able to use my account balances that I had just added. I can
    only use my bank card to buy the game. I dont necessary have the money at the moment to use my bank card. So now knowing this I am very very disappointed customer. Please Microsoft allow us to use our market place balances for the backwards compatiblity titles
    as well. Please now I am stuck with account balance I am not even sure if i want to buy a game with that I can use towards this. Extremely upset. Please fix soon

    Sounds like the scenario that happend to me exactly. So i guess due to this investigation i won't be able to redeem my prepaid ms points or membership card either. This really sucks because i have regained controll of my account and want to be able to play.

    Basically you cannot make any purchases with creditcards or payment options once a billing lock is inplace

    You can use the account balance

    Two.things first the account balance can still be used for one games

    The only way currency can be used on bc titles is on a 360

    Hey, ninjasnake86! ngocphi is correct here. The currency can be used, it just needs to be used on the 360 Marketplace on the console directly. Any purchases made on the website and Xbox One console need to be done through a credit or debit card. If you would
    like us to change that, you will need to post up on the
    Feedback site    . Since this has been something that has been going on since the currency switch in 2013, I suggest checking out the site for a post already made and give it a vote. Thanks for the suggestion!

    I don't know about that gold thing, all i know is that in my debit history page i have a whole bunch of "GULDPAKET PREMIUM" -120 points witch means gold-packet premium in Swedish, maby it's something related to a specific game.
