    Disabling The On-Screen Keyboard


    Hi guys! I am happy to be testing the new Edge Browser for Accessibility. I must say, I am impressed with performance on the OG Xbox one. You can open a lot of tabs without it slowing down, and Google Docs and Office 365 are working great. Blackboard access is good, so the Xbox One is now a good homework machine.

    There is just one problem, that makes it difficult. The lack of ability to disable the on-screen keyboard. Enabling an option even to dismiss it by a keypress would be awesome. I am not aware of a way to do this as of now. Anyone else agree this is an issue for the new Edge?

    Nice to meet you and I hope you are having a great day!

    I understand you need help disabling the on screen keyboard. Unfortunately, there is no feature on Xbox that will remove the on screen keyboard. You can only minimize this through the accessibilty settings so it will appear smaller than the usual.

    For remote features, you can disable this by downloading the Windows 10 app and go to the app settings to disable the on screen keyboard but that is only through the app.

    Hello Dorian, unfortunately currently there is no way to disable the on-screen keyboard for Xbox One console.

    However in the Windows 10 try to go Xbox App Navigate to Settings, then under the Xbox One tab there is a toggle switch at the bottom to disable the on-screen keyboard.

    I just had a look and the setting in the Windows 10 Xbox One app is still there. Navigate to Settings, then under the Xbox One tab there is a toggle switch at the bottom to disable the on-screen keyboard.
