Disabling the On-Screen Keyboard on Xbox Series X

So, I am trying to use the Microsoft Edge Browser with a keyboard and mouse to make it more like using a PC for homework among other things. The only problem is that anytime I am typing, the on screen keyboard keeps appearing which usually obscures the screen to the point to where I cannot see what I am typing. This become extremely infuriating when I am trying to make sure I am spelling things right and/or perform grammar checks. Is there any way to disable the on screen keyboard across the whole device? It is pointless to have on the screen if I use a keyboard to type everything. I also use my keyboard when playing games like Minecraft and Call of Duty. With Minecraft, it becomes aggravating when trying to use commands or simply just chatting with other players because the OSK pops up when I begin typing and it does not update in the chat-bar what I am typing. This makes typing in commands extremely difficult as I am learning how to use them in game. The feature that tells you what to put in next in the command chain is extremely helpful but it does not work because it doesn't update what I am typing not to mention the OSK tends to cover up the chat-bar.

I have since tried to disable it using the Xbox companion app on my Windows laptop, but that doesn't work anymore because it only works on the Older Gen Xboxes. The feature does not work on the Xbox Series X.

Besides that, I have tried several fixes mentioned on reddit such as holding in the Windows key for a few seconds (which used to work on the older gen consoles as well) but that doesn't work. Along with this I have tried pressing the B button on my controller to make the keyboard disappear. This works on very few websites as the B button is also used to go to the previous page.

Is there any planned fix for this? It is infuriating to no belief not being able to use this browser without having this damned OSK coming on the screen even with a keyboard connected to the console.

I play on an Xbox Series X with the latest updates. The keyboard pops up anytime I am typing no matter what keyboard I have plugged in.

I understand you need help disabling the on screen keyboard. Unfortunately, there is no feature on Xbox that will remove the on screen keyboard. You can only minimize this through the accessibilty settings so it will appear smaller than the usual.

For remote features, you can disable this by downloading the Windows 10 app and go to the app settings to disable the on screen keyboard but that is only through the app.

Hello Dorian, unfortunately currently there is no way to disable the on-screen keyboard for Xbox One console.

However in the Windows 10 try to go Xbox App Navigate to Settings, then under the Xbox One tab there is a toggle switch at the bottom to disable the on-screen keyboard.
