Disabled gamers control layouts

I have been passed to this forum by a mod from the official Forza forum.

As a gamer with limited use of my left hand we will use the term disabled for now. My problem is not with controls but game layouts of button operations.

I like to play the Forza series and recently purchasing my XB1 I have gone from using a fanatec wheel to having to use a controller. Now my problem is that all the standard configurations of this game are designed for people with 2 complete hands which means
when I play I can't compete. The reason is because I have to use automatic transmission because no layout enables me to use manual.

My question is with all these great graphics and great sounds implemented into these game why can we not assign our own buttons to commands itself so that I can play the way I want to play and not be dictated on what button should be gear up or gear down?

I don't know if it a surprise to Microsoft or Turn 10 but disabled gamers do play games and we should still be entitled to take a shot at the #1 spot in the leaderboards.

Sorry if I am rambling but I have gaming over 20 years and this situation is ridiculous. Where else can I go to make myself heard? What else do I need to do?

Control layouts

I hate that as the player, we don't have more universal control over our settings, but I think it's largely done out of balance reasons. In any case, I support your cause and reasoning because I don't think anyone who is disable in any kind of fashion should
be excluded. I will say this much though: you might be better served taking this either to the official forzamotorsport.net website or to the wishlist/feedback section of these forums.

I have been sent over from the Forza forum by a moderater. Now says that thes layouts are part of Microsoft and not turn 10 but you get no official bodie from any of these forums that say we're here to help how can we do this for you?

Where else can you go, who can you contact directly? Because I would like to really follow up on this.
