    i was in the middle of a dbd match and my xbox decided it was a great time to update its self. So is there anyway that an option could be added that would allow you to delay it a few minutes or something?

    Either go into the settings & put your console in "instant on" mode or in the "updates" bit tick "keep my console up to date".

    I have mine set to the second one & have never been kicked from a game for a update.

    Simple answer.................no.

    What I would say though is are you in the preview program? if you are then perhaps you should unsubscribe from it, that way you wont get as many updates (roughly one a month or so)

    It depends on what it’s doing in sleep mode. If it’s actively downloading and decompressing data, or updating the system, it’s going to use more power. It wakes up every once in a while to check for updates, and other things in sleep mode. That’s why you leave it in sleep mode, so that it updates things while you’re not playing.
