Discus and support Disable Share Button Series X Controller in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Please consider allowing us to disable the Share button on the Series X controller.     Disable Share Button Series X Controller


    Please consider allowing us to disable the Share button on the Series X controller. Accidental screen capture/recording happens a number of times during a session. So much so I purchased a controller model without the feature. The buttons can already be remapped so disabling should be feasible. Or, allow us to disable the single press feature so that the share button only activates via a long press. The one and only major gripe I have with the Series X that’s a significant annoyance.

    Xbox one controller

    The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback and concern!

    If your controller has the share button located below the view and menu buttons, then it is an Xbox Series X|S controller. If it does not have a share button, then it is more than likely an Xbox One controller. When looking for third-party accessories going forward, be sure verify that it is compatible with the official Xbox Series X|S controller and not the Xbox One controller, unless you are purchasing an accessory for the Xbox One controller.
