Disable Console Power up when turning on controller

Discus and support Disable Console Power up when turning on controller in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Hi, is there a way to configure the xbox one in that way, that it does not turn on if the Xbox One Controller is switched on (to use it with a pc)?...     Hi,

    is there a way to configure the xbox one in that way, that it does not turn on if the Xbox One Controller is switched on (to use it with a pc)?

    Controller problem?

    All of a sudden when I power up my controller my console is not Turning on and when I power down my console the controller stay on, what would cause this?

    Controller or Console?

    Been having issues with the console lately. This involves turning the console on with the controller.

    I press the guide button like normal and sometimes the console will turn on, sometimes not. In both cases, the controller lights up so I know it is powered. When the console doesn't turn on with the controller I press the face button on the console, it lights
    up like it is going to turn on then immediately shuts off. A couple tries later and it comes back on.

    The power-brick is always showing white. Batteries in controller are fresh.

    The controller is synced. The controller works fine when the console is on. Is there an issue with the sleep state? Is there an issue with turning the console off with the controller/menu? Maybe I should disable all the background stuff that is supposed
    to happen while the console is sleeping and power it down completely each time?

    Anyone have an idea?

    I have never seen a setting in the console menus anywhere that will allow this to happen. You might wish to use the
    Xbox Uservoice website to request if this feature can be added to the console.

    I actually bought a second controller with built in bluetooth for my PC to keep from having to resync the controller between devices.

    I've found, on my PC at least, that if I plug in the controller directly into the PC while off, , the console doesn't turn on first. Doesn't always work though which is a pain.

    Hi wesifer3,

    My first suggestion would be to get a big dog. JK :) ... There isn't a setting to disable the power button. If I were you I would just cover up the power button with something and use the controller to turn the console on and off.

    XB 1 Turns itself back on

    so say no controller is on the dock, and i hold the xbox button on the controller, select turn off console....will that power the console back on, or will the controller turn off? When i am having this problem, the console and the controller both turn off,
    and then only the console logo lights back up, not the controller, if that helps clear up my issue, thanks 24hrs2live.
