Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand you would like to secure your child's account, and that is something that we can help you with.

There is just one stipulation, and that would be that you are in a "family" together, and that he is a child in your family.

You can look more into creating a family by following
this link, and once that is all set, you can actually
manage their permissions on the child account.

If he is not using a child account, then essentially you would have to go as far as

changing the password for the account and
creating a passkey to secure the account.

You would then be able to customize your sign-in and security
preferences,
and change their Xbox Live privacy settings then.

The best method would be to have him use a child account, and use parental controls with a password locked family account. For more information, you can go here:
