Disable Automatic Downloads

Discus and support Disable Automatic Downloads in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; When I purchase a game from the website, it automatically downloads it to my 'Home' Xbox.     When I purchase a game from the website, it automatically downloads it to my 'Home' Xbox. Can I disable this?

    I usually download games to a different console and I don't want to waste bandwidth because it's downloading it twice.

    hello, yes you can, go to settings, power options, disable auto updates or auto download.... I think it was called auto updates Disable Automatic Downloads :D anyway you can also disable instint on so you use less power and have to pay less for the power bills, but for the best experience

    I do use an external hard drive. I’ve tried to reinstall it on the consoles hard drive which has begun the download. I also found a possible solution which was on another question similar to mine.

    The answer was to disable automatic and background updates. Having disabled them I have been able to start the download of the game and it did download completely. Now just waiting on an 80gb update to check if the game will work
