Dirt ShowDown

Shouldn't dirt showdown provide a free v.I.p. pass like they did for dirt 3??

Just a thought that crossed my mind.. any thoughts??

Actually this very much is a customer support matter. Evidenced by the fact that the support team had to intervene when Dirt 3 required a VIP pass for multiplayer. This should be the same situation. The VIP passes were not extra content, they were a paywall
for those who purchased the game used and were to be available to those who purchased the game new or digitally. Codemasters tried to separate Dirt 3 as the "GwG version" and not include the VIP pass in an attempt to make backhanded sales. IT was support that
rectified that error.

 

Hi there. I have a question for the support team. I have downloaded the FULL game Dirt Showdown as part of the GwG program and now i can't play online with my friends. It's weird because i already have a Gold subscription. The game asks me to spend 10€ in
a VIP pass to have access to the full game. I don't understand. I thought that i could play the main game and be able to unlock 1000G but it seems GwG has offered half the game? Am i doing something wrong?

 

Hey Microsoft you need to put the VIP Pass for free as you have advertised the online portion of the game in your announcement! It will be a huge deal breaker if you don't!

Tip: These guys who have Xbox One can play Online without the need of the VIP Pass!

 

The VIP Pass is supposed to come with all new copies of the game. Though DiRT Showdown was given to us free through the Games with Gold program, the digital game is still technically a new game and, as such, should include the VIP Pass. Please rectify this
for us and I will have no problem spending money on other add-on content for the game. Thanks.

 

It feels a bit unfair to those who dont have an Xbox One to have things like VIP Passes get bundled in on one console because of a lack of DLC/Extra Content support and then get charged quite highly themselves for playing online on the original console it
was released for.

 

agreed , i hope it doesn't take 10 days like it did with dirt 3 to allow us to play online.

 

Doesn't make sense for Microsoft to charge for XBOX Live Gold and then request another $10 to play the game online. Hope they gets this straightened out soon!

 

This is such an annoying issue, one that shouldn't have happened TWICE. Seriously, this is a bit ridiculous. I went to Codemasters support and sent them many emails on the matter and no matter what I say, they simply reply with

"I'am afraid that the VIP pass is not included in the Games with Gold version. The only way to acquire the VIP pack is via purchase from the Xbox marketplace."

Wow, just wow...

 

the last time (with Dirt 3) the Codemasters Support still gave this answer, even though the VIP Pass was already for free ! I opened a thread at the Promotion Forum (like last time) and hopefully it will help again !!!

 

I feel discriminated. Why Xbox One owner have it for free? I dont pay any additional money.
