Dirt Showdown VIP Pass

So why is it that I can get the VIP Pass for Dirt 3 for free, but Dirt Showdown is still $9.99? I feel if you're going to give me the game for free, you shouldn't make me pay to play online. Thought we were done with online passes.

Given that the VIP pass is required in order to get the full 1000, I would hope that they would make it available just like they did with Dirt 3.

Hello Muz,

Did you download the game while it was Games with Gold? If so, it should no longer require the online pass; however, if you downloaded it before the online pass was added into the download (roughly the 10th of that month - January?) you will need to delete
and redownload the game, after which the online pass should no longer be required.

(Note: It will still have a price of $10 in the store but you won't need it.)

I definitely downloaded it during its Games with Gold run. Have deleted and re-downloaded it, and still being told to confirm a $9.99 charge, which I have no assurance that it won't be assessed.

 

You shouldn't need to download the VIP pass separately.

Can you try playing online (without buying the pass) and see if it lets you?

If you confirm the purchase of the VIP pass it WILL charge you, so don't do that.

 

Since my last post, I started it up again and noticed that it didn't mention the VIP Pass. Am now successfully playing online. Figured it out before I saw your latest post, but thank you.
