Well I'm going to take MS on its word just like Cloud compute. It's not fairy dust people.

 

The gpu inside the Xbox One isn't powerful enough to run games at smooth frame rate in native 4k. Most mid to high end PC video cards struggle to run games in 4k with the exception of the GTX Titan/GTX 780 Ti/GTX Titan Black. The benchmarks are there to
prove it. If you want to argue that a 500$ console will be able to match that performance be my gest, but I say Microsoft is shooting the gun with those comments.

It will affect it allot. 3rd party titles are struggling. This is why. The console was designed around this new DX it just wasn't ready till this year. MS released early to stop PS4 getting a head start. Tiled Resources and the cloud and DX are all why the
X1 design is a little quirky and doesn't like current coding methods and engines. This is the true beginning of this console.

lol your joking right. another kid with no idea. 11 isn't even used in gaming. almost every pc game is direct x 9. all 12 will do is bottle neck the xbox1 more[if that's possible] not 1 person on this board is over the age of 12 or just plain dumb

I don't. understand why some must make things complicated. It's right there for anyone to see on the announcement image. The Xbox one logo is there, along with the partner logos for dx12. It also specifically says "console". So, dx12 and Xbox one will be
linked somehow. And don't forget.... Both the Xbox one and the ps4 at their core are custom built pc's. The whole argument of dx12 is only for PC is pointless.

 

After all the negativity, some people don't want to believe that MS kept info about the X1 a secret. X1 uses DX12= X1 Gpu is fully modified. Goes against the grain.
