DirecTV through Xbox One skips/stutters

Setup:

Xbox One Console (obviously)

DirecTV HD-DVR Model HR34-700

Sharp Aquos HDTV

Issue:

When watching live TV or DVR recordings through the Xbox One TV app the program will periodically skip causing missed audio and video. This typically happens much more frequently on premium movie channels (HBO, Showtime) than on regular network or basic
cable channels. For example, a typical HBO program will skip every 30 seconds to 4 minutes whereas a NBC/Comedy Central program may only skip once per hour, if at all.

Troubleshooting:

I had DirecTV out and they replaced all of the coaxial lines coming into the house and confirmed proper connections inside.

Replaced HDMI cables between DVR and Xbox, and Xbox and TV.

Powered down Xbox and unplugged all cables for 2 minutes.

Removed the Xbox One from the equation (plugged DVR straight into TV) - This is the only step that worked.

Curious if anyone else has seen this and if anybody knows of a solution.

4k (UHD) Content streaming through Xbox One?

I have Xbox One and Directv 4K. I've noticed the Xbox blocks the pass through of the 4K and makes my tv not compatible for 4K viewing. Kind of sucks. Hope they update with firmware for it to be possible to still use my xbox connected to directv.

 

Video stutters and skips like it is dropping frames!

There seems to be an issue with streaming movies with the Amazon Prime App on XBOX-ONE. When I stream movies on my XBOX-ONE using the Amazon Prime Video APP the video stutters and skips like it is dropping frames. I watched the same movies on my XBOX-360
and the stutters and skips and dropping frames does not occur, the videos play perfectly. I have a new gigabit switch and new CAT-6 cables so my network is running fine and fast. It is either an issue with the XBOX-ONE version of Live or the XBOX-ONE version
of the Amazon Prime APP or both. I have tried powering off and clearing the cache by holding down the power button until the unit turns off and restarting the unit but it did not help. It is probably a setting on the XBOX-ONE side of LIVE or the console,
buffer set to low or something. It is a bit annoying.

 

I have this same issue with Charter. Super frustrating. I bought the Xbox One for the Entertainment System and it would be nice to actually be able to take full advantage of that.

 

I recently bought a 4k TV and ran it through the Xbox 1 using a Direct TV Genie. every time I tried to watch a movie channel the picture would zoom in. I called Direct TV, thinking it might be the new Genie box causing the problem. They assured me that it
was not. Then I decided it might be the Xbox. I rerouted the hookup and bypasses the Xbox problem stopped. Also my 4k picture, which is suppose to upscale all resolutios is now the best I've ever seen. I think if u have any issues with your TV disconnect from
the Xbox first.

 

It's really unfortunate because I love the ability to control everything through the Xbox and not have to change input sources to switch between TV and Games.
