DirecTV Signal Lost after Switching HDMI Input / Idle Genie HR44-700

Not sure what update started this problem, but it has been going on for a few months now. Whenever I change HDMI Inputs (e.g. to Wii U or PS4 or something) and then switch back to the Xbox One to watch TV, it loses the cable signal.

My cable box is the DirecTV Genie HR44-700

I have tried and had the same issue on both my Samsung and Vizio HDTVs, and reproduced it with two different HDMI cables connecting the Xbox and Genie box.

I can access Live TV again by either restarting the cable box or unplugging and re-plugging in the HDMI cable connecting it to the Xbox.

I have also tried: Setting the cable box to 720p only, and putting the Xbox One in power reserve mode. Nothing has worked.

If anybody can provide me any help on this issue it would be much appreciated. Everything else works perfectly except the TV signal always goes out after switching back and forth on the HDMI inputs.

Restart (pull plug) XB1 to get Live TV working after 'sleep mode'

Same problem for me with a DirecTV HR44 (Genie) DVR. After XB1 wakes up, it can't recognize the HDMI signal. I wonder if it has anything to do with BOTH the XB1 and the HR44 going to sleep mode. I have tried manually waking up the HR44 first and then waking
the XB1 but I get the same results! Hard to believe Microsoft didn't catch this bug...

direct tv not working

I'm having issues connecting to my DirecTV Genie HR44/500. XB1 cannot find a code to control it. Please help. It was working last week.

I am having the exact same issue. I have swapped HDMI cable to no avail. I just received my Genie Box had no issue with my old Directv DVR. Now every time I switch back to TV I have to go and reset the cable on the Genie, I do it that way because its faster
than a reboot.

Does the direct tv receiver have to be in the line of sight of kinect, because unfortunately for me I have the genie in a audio video room and the xbox one in game room. It's connected to hdmi and I put in the serial code HR44-700

If I switch an app to TV from another app it will sometimes give the 'we've lost your TV signal - but within 5 seconds the TV signal will come on. Now - in the past week I've had two instances of after watching Netflix and then going to LiveTV I've had the
'we've lost your TV signal' message stay on. I was able to recover by unplugging the XB1 power and replugging it in to do a hard boot up again. I have a DirecTV DVR HDMI output that goes to a 1 to 2 HDMI splitter and then one leg of the splitter goes directly
to an A/V receiver HDMI input and the other leg of the splitter goes to the HDMI input of the XBOX (and the HDMI output of the XBOX goes to a different A/V HDMI receiver input). Whenever I have trouble with the XB1 TV path - I just switch to the other A/V
receiver input (that bypasses the XB1 through the other splitter leg. It was a $30 splitter that works around this XB1 TV issue with a simple push of my receiver input select button.
