    Directv finally working consistently with xbox one


    I have followed all the posts out there, as I was having the same problems.

    I hooked up the xbox one with Directv on Christmas day. Directv worked fine for about 2 weeks and then I started having the same reported issues. I tried about 4 different hdmi cables and still the same problem. Daily I had to disconnect and reconnect the
    hdmi cables to get directv to work.

    My xbox one is one the bottom shelf of my entertainment center, so every time I disconnected the hdmi cable, I would pull out the xbox one and tilt it, laying the front of the xbox on the carpet and the back tilted up. About a little over a week ago, I left
    the xbox tilted at about 20 degrees. Now every time I turn on the xbox one, it works perfectly. It doesn't look at pretty with my xbox tilted out off the entertainment center, but it works.

    This all leads me to believe that the xbox one has a a hardware connection issue and that it is not in the software. I believe Microsoft has found this out and I believe the only thing they could do to fix this, is to do a total recall on the xbox one, once
    they make the hardware change.

    Directv and Receiver not working

    I finally got my directv receiver working. I had to change my remote settings on directv from RF to IR. I still have to get my surround sound working though

    4k (UHD) Content streaming through Xbox One?

    I have Xbox One and Directv 4K. I've noticed the Xbox blocks the pass through of the 4K and makes my tv not compatible for 4K viewing. Kind of sucks. Hope they update with firmware for it to be possible to still use my xbox connected to directv.

    XB1 not changing channels on DirecTV

    Finally got it working this morning. Had to go into system, TV guide, and setup the cable box again. This time when I did the setup I held the kinect 3-5 feet in front of the DirecTV receiver (making sure the 4th light on kinect was pointing directly at
    the or receiver on the DirecTV box.). Then I put the kinect back on the console and viola. Thanks Studbucket!

    Why is this not answered?? I'm watching Directv through my Xbox One on a high end 65" plasma and the picture quality/resolution is TERRIBLE. For the past month I've been in denial hoping that a software update would fix it, or that maybe it was my Directv
    receiver at fault, but now after finally doing a minimal search on this subject, I'm seeing this is a genuine problem with Xbox One and nobody seems to have an answer. FIX THIS NOW, MICROSOFT...or get ready for some class action fun coming soon to a courtroom
    near you.

    direct tv not working

    Yeah I just tried watching my directv through my xbox one and there's no picture. Wouldn't let me do a set up in settings. Was working fine a couple of days ago. Had to plug my directv back into tv. This sucks. Been searching for a reason. Can't find anything.
