DirectTv setup...Please help

Not sure what I am doing wrong but I can not change channels with the Xbox remote or the Xbox media remote. The OneGuide pulls up on my tv but I can not select the channel to change it.

I have the DirectTv Hr44-500 box plugged into the Xbox One, and the Xbox plugged into my LG tv.

I also am trying to make this work with out the Kinect, I have an IR emitter cable hooked into the back of the Xbox.

Any tips would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Why does my DirectTv remote and setup no longer work fully after I have installed my Xbox One?

I just setup my xbox ONE and I routed my directtv reciever to the xbox one like instruted. I followed all of the setup instructions to make the Live TV work. Now I am unable to use my directtv remote and the xbox one doesnt have all of the options. With
the directtv connected to the xbox I am no longer able to see my recorded shows, guide...the only thing that works is the actual live TV. Super frustrated!

IR control not working correctly since 2/15 patch

Before the patch my Xbox One was able to control my Samsung TV and my DirectTV DVR. Now it is not correctly controlling either. It will not turn them on or off and when I try to reset them up it will not change the channel in the setup procedure. This
is clearly an issue with the patch since everything worked previously.

Help!

You wont need the emitter. Make sure to use the hdmi cable that came with the xb1 between the genie and the xb console. The commands that control the genie are sent through the HDMI. You will need the Kinect for voice commands like "watch ESPN" etc. Be sure
to run the TV setup in the settings and choose the genie model you have.

I have the hr -44 too and it works great. One guide is a bit of a waste tho.

Unfortunately I have DirectTV for TV and Xfinity/Comcast for internet. There is a line for each coming into the house into a panel where it splits the lines that then go off into each room. So I can only make a room have a DirectTV (TV) line or an Xfinity
(Internet) line. So if a room as a DirectTV line, that line doesn't have internet, and visa versa for the Xfinity line not having TV. So where my TV is, I would have to switch that room to be split from an Xfinity line and then at that point I wouldn't have
TV there anymore.

Definitely not an ideal situation (I've always had your situation previously, TV and Internet from the same provider) but unfortunately I'm stuck with this setup until my girlfriend's DirectTV contract is up.

DirectTV gave Sony the ability for the past couple of years to have Sunday Ticket capabilities without DirectTV subscriptions on the PS3. It was removed from their store within days of the XBox One and NFL announcement.
