Direct X12 what is it and what does it mean for the X1

Hate to break it to you SMG, and I'm not trying to call you out, but Titanfall not living up to the hype is not a fact, it is your personal opinion.

Right. I'm not Techy. Okay I am, but not that techy. Direct X12 is what, and why will it help us?

^ What it is... how it will help... well I guess it could be described as installing a newer, better driver for the X1's hardware.

I can't speak for him but he must have seen it in the stats and wondered what they are.

 

i was talking to a friend lastnight about this because he has been reading the PR hype about DX12, at the end of our conversation he said, "I don't know, i hope at GDC they come out on stage with wizard hats on and just say it's magic, and then leave." in
hindsight i kind of wish they would to, every time they start diving into the technical side and more and more people are getting pulled into the console wars and worrying about numbers and losing sight of why we all became gamers in the first place...

@zerodivided very true we are all gamers we are like a huge family i dislike the fact that even myself is involved in this "console war" even doe i will own both consoles.

But you make a very good point, we all love games ! we should all be united

Very good. If a game has even one person in the entire world that loves it, it lived up to the hype for that person. Whether a game delivered on hype or not is not something that can ever be claimed as fact, because like most things in gaming, it's based
on preference.

Direct X is just another gimmick..

 

SMG90x we will see on them games. I been saying these for a long time first year of X1 is going to be tough until the devs now how to work it. Also look at PS3 cross console games suck for the longest time. That said PS4 is easy dev for hints the 1080 60fps
marker easier than X1. But like I said games,games,games will win this War not Resolution. I will say I thing though I hate about the X1 is the UI. Now im not a PS4 hater I would love to own it but cant afford it

Also why is everything XBOX OR MS a gimmick?

Yeah those Infamous pictures look nice. Still wouldn't trade it for Titanfall.

 

Only runs at 30FPS FAIL. Does look good thought. And X1 can Run a open world game like that too.
