    I'm an old an wizzened up luddite Dinosaur asks question... :)

    I want to buy an old Age of Empires game for my grandson to play on my laptop only.

    Do I need and XBox account for this?

    Tell me exactly how to order this, and talk real slow Dinosaur asks question... :)

    The three Age of Empires games are available for purchase as a download on the Windows Store built into Windows 10. Open the Windows Store, search for which Age of Empires game you're looking for and click the 'Buy' button.

    Will you need an Xbox account?

    Yes, but it's free. You will be buying the game with your Microsoft account, if you don't already have an Xbox profile tied to this account, one will be made for you. Like I've said it's free, you won't be charged for the account, you'll only be charged
    for the game.

    To insure your grandson can only play this game on your laptop, you'll need your own Microsoft account.
