    Dimmed screen when turning on....


    Every time I turn the X1 on the screen is dimmed, i have to turn it off and then back on right away and the screen goes back to normal.

    I have tried unplugging hdmi cables, unplug power cords and all nothing works...i have to turn it on twice to see a normal screen....

    screen is dimmed when watching movie on Xbox One

    Hi there,

    Sinds the update to window 10 layout on Xbox one the screen is dimmed when watching/streaming a movie on Xbox One.

    It look likes a sort of screensaver. I have to touch the xbox control and then the screen turns good.. and after a while the dimmed screen is turning up again.

    Can't find any setting about it to turn this off when watching a (stream)movie.

    How to fix this?

    i'm having the same problem.

    I got it to work with the above solution yesterday. This morning back to the dimmed screen on boot.

    Dimmed screen when turning on.... :(

    I hope this is not because it's a referb

    Hi, MCKLEIN,

    I've also had the same problem that you have along with the exact same resolution to shutting down and turning it back on. I have the COD AW version of the XB1, which one do you use? This only recently started occurring right around the New Year for me;
    when did yours start to act up? Anyway, just letting you know that you're not alone and if you find a solution or the Microsoft team contacts you, then I'll look here to see how you had it fixed. Good luck, bro. ~

    Screen brightness very low when turning system on

    I had this problem as well, and found a relatively easy solution, but can't promise it will work. All I did was turn on the Xbox (Then off and back on again to get the screen bright), and then let the Xbox sit until the controller turned itself off, and
    the screen dimmed. Once you turn the controller back on, it will brighten once again, and from then on, I had no issues with the screen remaining dim when I turned the Xbox on.

    Have you attempted a hard shutdown since this has began? Hold you power button for 8 seconds until the console fully shuts down, wait 30 seconds, and power the console back on.

    I am having the same problem along with a bunch of other people. So far it seems to go away when I restart it. The hard shutdown and/or unplugging doesnt help mine. Like everyone else, mine started after the last patch.
