Digitally downloaded games

My best friend and I have the home share thing on our Xbox Ones. We are gonna get the digital version of NBA 2k 17. I'm currently at college and I didn't bring my Xbox with me, but my roommate did bring his. If I sign into my account on his Xbox and download
the game will I still be able to download it onto my Xbox back at home?

Please don't bump old threads. You would need to set your console as your Home console in order to remove it from any other consoles.

No, as far as I've seen, anything you purchase will automatically download to his console.

Also, from what I've heard from others, all of your purchases will possibly show up in the games and apps section on the far right hand side where it shows all the games that are available in your collection but aren't currently installed.

I'm not 100% sure on any of this stuff, as I haven't needed to use it, but it is my basic understanding of how it works based upon what I've heard from others.

Yes, anything you purchase with your account can be downloaded by you on any other console.

Are you downloading from a disc or a digital download? It took about 5 hours to download call of duty as a digital game. If downloading the digital version it will take quite a while depending on your internet speed. If downloading from a disc try disconnecting
from the internet and downloading the game that way.

Im trying to download a digital game instead of a disc, weirdly all of the digital games I have tried to download do not work. Could it be because they’re digital?

digital items will be available for digital downloads but obviously any physical items will not be. so depending on what is offered, you will be able to take advantage of digital bonuses if you choose to download digital. for instance, the Ryse bonus sword
being offered for Day One games will be both at retail and digital download. etc.

You would have to purchase the game digitally in order to download it. There is no way to download the digital version just by owning the disc.

BC games do not install from the disc, but are downloaded digitally from the store.
