Digital vs Disc - Discussion

Digital is soooooooo convenient! Hit download in the morning before work, come home and done! As for the trade end of things, the incentive isn't there anymore for me to trade them off. Spend $60 on a game and get $20 back on trade after 2 weeks? Nope.

My only question with digital is can the game be uninstalled from the X1 if you are not playing it? And then reinstalled at a later date?

If Microsoft wants me to convert to digital downloads and NOT BUY A PHYSICAL DISC...they need to make digital downloads cheaper than disc!!!!!

$45.00 for digital vs $60.00 for disc.....THEN IM GOING DIGITAL ,......

Question about buying Digital copy of Game

Digital copies work the same as the disc version. The data for the games themselves is separate from game saves, so using the digital copy vs. the disc will not affect anything else.

 

Above: It can be, but you will need to redownload it fully again. However, it will cost nothing.

 

So quick question if i have a buy titan fall disc when i put in my system it installs the FULL game not a partial amount? cus if so then i think i will also buy titan fall digital to have faster access to it

 

I prefer the disc so if I still have the ability to trade the game in when I get bored of it. You cant do that with digital dl. The only time I get digital downloads is if is the only option just like with Crysis 1. The only other way I go digital is
if the game is free just like Dead Island.

 

yeah for midnight releases its better then going to a store and waiting an hour. i can buy and DL go to bed, wake up and its ready. but i cna't wait for digital pre-orders. that would be awesome. just DL and install a day early and it unlocks at midnight
to play

Digital all the way for only one reason, no disks cluttering the TV table. I do wish they allow selling of digital licences one day.

 

yea since there is no midnight release for titan fall at my local gamestop i think i will be getting it digital

 

rumors are we JUST MIGHT get digital pre downloading with an unlock being set at 12:00 with the March update... we can only hope huh?

Why would you wait an hour at a midnight release? I show up around 11:45. They start selling at 12:00 I am home by 12:15 playing my new game.

 

Last one i did was BL2 where gamestop was 5 mins form my place. i left at 11:50 and got home at 12:45 plus i had to get dressed and stand outside

 

Out of the 3 games I own 2 of them are digital to me I don't mind it only thing is I wish I never bought ghost digital I hate it lol

 

I prefer digital, but they're both good for their own merits.
