Digital USB TV tuner doesn't find all available channels

I've scanned for TV channels literally 50 times and always get a result of between 0 and 190 channels. All the TV sets in my house find over 300 channels that are broadcast via standard DVB-C signal by the largest German operator, Kabel Deutschland. But
Xbox support in Germany says, that the problems are caused by the type of TV signal that is being broadcast. How can there be a problem with a standard signal that works for any budget or high end TV or set top box.They even suggested I call the TV service
and request they change the broadcasting signal. It's beyond me how every other system works just fine?

XBOX One + Digital TV tuner (USB) + DVB-T2 rod antenna is not working ...

I try to watch TV with a DVB-T2 rod antenna, the Digital TV tuner (USB) on the XBOX One.

If I carry out the channel search, the XBOX One finds no channels.

So here are my question:

1. Does the Digital TV Tuner (USB) work with a DVB-T2 rod antenna at all?

If the Digital TV Tuner (USB) work with a DVB-T2 rod antenna at all, so what am I doing wrong?

Can't select HDMI passthrough input when using USB TV Tuner as well

When using USB TV tuner I can't change the channel back to the HDMI passthrough input. This worked prior to the latest update, I could select HDMI as a channel via OneGuide but now I can only select channels available via the USB TV Tuner antenna.

Sorry to hear about the missing channels. For this issue we recommend reporting this through the Xbox One dashboard so that the proper folks can see this. To report missing channels, follow the steps below:

• Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
• In the Settings menu, select 'TV & OneGuide'.
• Select 'Troubleshooting'.
• From here, select 'Report a OneGuide problem' and report all issues that apply using the drop down menu.

I've got the exact same problem over in Hamburg Germany, also Kabel Deutschland. I've read in forums that also other major cable TV providers channels cannot be received by the TV Tuner! Terrestrial TV Antennas seem to work fine with far less channels receivable.
As terrestrial is dying out in Germany, it might be advisable to fix that problem, as probably every second German buyer of the thing will have very few channels + different search results (I've done 10 searches and had results between 0 - 30 channels). Same
cable on a good old far east Samsung TV leads to around 300 channels and 100 radio stations.

I used the dashbord report tool and hope to receive some help that way as well - anyways I feel like this is a major problem for many users and should be solved centrally.

Feeling like an alpha-tester and hoping for better days with the TV Tuner (so far unusable)

 

Same here. My cable company is not even listed, I have reported that a million times ever since the thing was released by now, still not there. I do get 301 channels I cannot use, but of the 10 major channels I need, only one is there and that is the public
channel I might as well watch via browser.

This is a major frustration, and I feel nothing is happening. All that for a feature that should really have worked out of the box.

I do not think this was tested properly in Germany. As I live in Munich, I am sure many MS Germany employees must have the same issues and report them?

i have the same problem with DVB-C over Unitymedia in germany. Is someone at Microsoft working on this? Is Microsoft able to reproduce these problems? It would be nice to have a little bit more information about whether Microsoft is willing to work on theses
problems...
